THE PATH TO ZERO WASTE

With the proper knowhow and technology, waste can be reutilized and transformed into many valuable products that not only reduce the environmental impact but create economic opportunities around the world.

Be part of our philosophy ZERO WASTE.

Heading

Greenfield Alliance (GFA), is an American Corporation with the sole purpose of investing in the pursuit and development of innovative waste management solutions.

Our waste management and consulting subsidiaries implement a zero-waste goal into every project with the intent of finding use to every piece of waste and improving the world for generations to come. Our purpose, experience and network have taken us to projects in different parts of the world looking for and in need of holistic waste management solutions in Latin America and Europe.

Our subsidiaries’ operations include waste collection and transportation, treatment and disposal of various types of waste, managing recycling plants and overseeing renewable energy projects.

In addition to this we also offer consulting services and feasibility studies on all the before mentioned activities.

Our waste management (WM) operations arevertically integrated. Our group, executesprojects across the globe. GFA currently owns WM companies in Central America and Europe.

Our logistics division is certified to manage thecollection of various types of waste including:

The current environmental concerns that are rising all around the globe require us to maximize our resources, utilizing them to their utmost potential. Nonetheless, it is very common for waste to be overlooked as a potential resource.

02. SUSTAINABILITY PROJECTS

The first step to achieve Zero Waste, a phrase that has become very popular, is to know the characteristics of the waste generated in depth in order to tailor the separation process accordingly. Our team of specialized engineers have conducted waste composition studies around the world for private and public entities all searching for better waste management solutions.

Despite the popularity of the phrase Zero Waste, in most cases it is not properly executed because waste studies are not done accordingly or completely skipped, which causes severe miscalculations in the sorting process.

| PLANTS
Once the waste composition studies are completed, the sorting plant is designed accordingly, matching its sorting lines to the composition found and its capacity to the volume processed. An automated sorting plant can provide access to the different types of resources that are found within what is considered to be “waste”. Each resource has its dedicated production line that process the waste into a commercially desirable product.

Our ongoing projects are based in establishing a solid partnership with governments in order to offer an integrated solution that is not a burden for the country but an opportunity to take full advantage of resources that are in many situations going to waste.
03. RENEWABLE ENERGY
Waste composition studies are also useful to align the most appropriate Waste to Energy (WtE) technologies. GFA’S strategic partner for macro waste management projects is AVP Group AG.

AVP Group is an international corporation that has executed hundreds of WtE projects across the globe. With our combined expertise we provide tailored solutions for any waste management problem, turning discarded material into highly valuable raw material for energy generation.

We are technologically agnostic focusing on:
BIOGAS TECHNOLOGY
Biogas plants not only reduce the amount of waste that ends up in landfills but also provide clean renewable energy that generates low cost electricity to local grids.

The method called Anaerobic digestion, is a sequence of biochemical processes by which microorganisms break down biodegradable material in the absence of oxygen. The process is applied at an industrial scale to decompose bio-waste in order to produce a renewable energy.
REFUSE DERIVED FUEL (RDF)
Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) is a fuel made from non-hazardous, organic municipal solid waste. The sorted waste goes through a shredding and drying process creating a material with high energy value commonly used in industrial furnaces, cement plants, power plants and cogeneration plants. The final product comes in the form of pellets, fluff or briquettes.
GASIFICATION TECHNOLOGY
In addition to BIOMASS plants there are technologies that use various types of waste as a feedstock to generate renewable energy at higher volumes.

Gasification is a technological process that converts carbon-based raw material into a fuel gas known as synthetic gas (syngas).
| MANAGEMENT
Our group’s success stems from years of experience and key partnerships that share a common vision to effectively analyze and identify any potential in waste supply chain management.

Our strategy is to constantly pursue vertical integration. This is how we can achieve Zero Waste, by certifying every step of the process from waste collection to reutilization. By doing so it guarantees that the resources are fully optimized and there is no waste that is foregone.
